Study in Dubai Requirements
Eligibility Standards
International Students can choose to study at various universities and colleges, but they must meet admission requirements. Students who are not nationals of the United Arab Emirates or any of the five GCC states (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia) must have a Study Visa to study in Dubai. Before receiving a Student Visa, students must complete all university requirements. The following documents are necessary to apply for a Dubai Student Visa:
- A valid passport.
- Four Passport copies.
- Twelve recent photographs of passport size with a white background.
- Received Admission Offer Letter from UAE university.
- Students’ bank statements to verify funds
- The lease agreement. If a student is staying in University Accommodation, he must obtain a letter from the university if he does not already have one.
- A Copy of the tuition fee receipt for the current academic year.
- Copy of the visa fee receipt for the current academic year
- Postgraduate students must provide documentation of their undergraduate degrees.
- Once a student arrives in Dubai, they must undergo a medical examination at an authorized medical facility. HIV, hepatitis C, hepatitis B, leprosy, Syphilis, and tuberculosis screenings typically involve a medical exam and chest X-ray.
If any of the above test results are positive, the student will be deported, except for Syphilis, which is treatable.
How to Apply for a Dubai Student Visa
Students who wish to study full-time in Dubai must obtain a Study Visa. The student visa is valid for a year; therefore, students must renew their visa if their program is longer than 12 months. Students are granted short-term visas for programs lasting less than one year. Students must initiate the process one to two months before the semester begins.
